Magda Shahin is a Minister Plenipotentiary of the Mission of Egypt to the World Trade Organisation (WTO). She was one of the leading negotiators in the Committee on Trade and Environment of the WTO in the intense negotiations in preparation for the first WTO Ministerial Conference held in Singapore in December 1996. She is also widely regarded as a leading spokesperson for the interests of developing country-delegations in the trade and environment discussions at the WTO.
